MAGGIE SOTTERO DRESSES ON LINE

I am thinking of buying my maggie sottero dress from the bridal store "tamara`s" in the USA.

Can anyone with the experience of buying their wedding dress from the USA and importing to the UK please get in touch wiht me as I would like to know how they got on, and if their Maggie dress was the genuine article (in particular I would be interested to hear from other UK residents who purchased their dress from Tamara`s.

Rachel, I bought my MS dress from Bridesave.com
They are worth checking out. Look them up with the better business bureau. They are awesome. Good luck

I ordered my Maggie gown from Advantage Bridal and they were really awesome! My dress came in much earlier than promised, and I saw here that one bride paid $1200 for Sarchi----mine was only $689.00 through Advantage. I have now ordered my veil, the matching Victoria Lee jewelry, and Grace Tessa shoes from them. They lace up the back just like my gown does! I would highly recommend Advantage Bridal---

I bought my gown from Tamara`s and not only did they have the best price but they answered all my questions and my dress came in one month early! It did have all the tags on it and it even came with a "certificate of authenticity" from Maggie Sottero. I found them through a friend of mine who ordered her dress from them and was happy also.

I just bought a Maggie Sottero dress last Friday. However I didn`t buy it online, I bought it in a store.
I`d love to know which styles you`re looking at or already purchased!!
I bought the Brianne.

How sad for Jenny that she`s obviously from the bridal store she is trying to get you to place your order with. How obvious. I have spoken to Tamara`s countless times, and I am ordering my gown from them. They have been courteous, efficient, patient and have great prices. They have answered both my phone calls and e-mails and there have been alot of both since I can`t decide which dress to order and I have lots of questions.
You won`t get people to order from you by slandering other businesses. Take a lesson from Tamara`s and give great customer service and maybe someone will order a dress from you one day.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to get in touch with me about the Maggie Dress. I would like to let you all know that I ordered my gown yesterday. The woman at Tamara`s was really helpful and patient with all my questions. I have ordered the Ashleigh gown. I am dead excited about getting it, although I am told I`ll have to wait until September. It was encouraging to hear that some of you got yours earlier than anticipated.

Once again - Thanks

Oh my G-d! I too am buying my bridesmaids dresses from Tamaras and I also live in the UK.
I have asked SOOO many questions (including opinion on the color I should order the dresses in) and Jackie (the owner) has been wonderful. She has answered every e-mail and every question within minutes it seems.
Anyway, I can`t wait to have my order put together so I can relax and I know everything will be taken care of.

I think so too........ If I were any bride, i wouldn`t shop with anyone unless they actually have a store front - not just a website.
Every manufacturer that is reputable clearly states either on their website or on their tags that if a business is not an authorized dealer that is clearly listed on their site, then you shouldn`t shop with them. Anyone that shops with a website/store that is not posted in this manner deserves the problems they end up having. It`s not just about saving a couple of bucks, it should be about actually receiving the dress you are looking for, and the original - not some replica!!
And doesn`t customer service count for anything anymore? Girls it` unfair to those stores that pay for a business licence, offer you samples to try on in their store, service you with a sales person that is paid either hourly or commision, spend at least an hour in the fitting room - messing up their samples, for you to leave and purcahse your gown from a website that has no overhead and probably is not listed with the manufacturer, and buy the gown at a lesser price. Of course the price is cheaper, they did absolutely NOTHING for you. Other stores did. That is rude, unjust, and your tackiness should be rewarded ONLY with problems. I`m so glad I work for a bank - I would NEVER go into the bridal business you ONLINE SHOPPERS would only waste our time and energy, and I would make NO money. I hope NONE of you get your dresses, and if you did, I hope you overpaid for copies!!!

Fedup.
Point blank-You are absolutely disgusting.
So what if these girls are trying to save money.
BUT HOW DARE YOU...wish they don`t receive their dresses.
You are a caddy woman. How could you wish them a terrible wedding day.
Go away Fedup....you make me sick.

Are you kidding me? She`s right - that is unfair - I never thought of it that way. I went to a Full Service Bridal Salon to get my dress and was serviced properly, received my dress as I should, and I wasn`t ripped off. I too shopped but at stores, not via internet. That IS unfair to the stores. The reason why dresses end up so expensive is because of so many shoppers as opposed to buyers - did you ever think of things that way? You go Fed up.

WOW Fed Up and Youou go girl are so evil. What`s wrong with people that don`t have big finance try to open a small company and make money ? Who said they don`t have licences?

First off, I would like to agree with Dawn in saying that Fred is a looser. Personally I think Fred is a competitor because there is too much emotion in that post. Now which competitor might it be? But I sure know I would not have liked to buy my dress off them. Now I will give my 2 bits of advice to anybody who is listening. I bought my dress off an online retailer and saved hundreds of dollars (which I then used for extra nights on our honeymoon). So screw you Fred, if that is what it takes to stay an extra two nights in Fiji, so be it. What I would suggest to anybody who buys online, is to use a credit card that will handle any problems that may occur. American Express is great for this! They will not pay the retailer if you don’t like what you get. And hence you will not have to pay for it either (or course it will have to be returned). Just make sure you leave yourself enough time to get a new dress if worst came to worse.

Take this this as you will, and a wonderful wedding to all
Sincerly

My coworker got screwed by Tamaras. She bought the dress from Tamara`s Bridal store and they gave her wrong size. She had to spend $280 to fix the dress. She ended up bought another dress

Just for you brides to be, here`s a little secret about Maggie!!

Many shops are overcharging for the Maggies. For instance, The Dion Style # 341HC , SHOULD retail for $1010.00 but the actual cost of the gown is "keystone" or 1/2 of the retail cost. You do the math!! The Denise Fields books tells you this too!! So before you spend any money on a Maggie first check their website for authorized dealers or cal them directly. And two price check around before you over pay. ANd three, Maggie is shipping very very late!! 16 and up to 24 weeks late and it has nothing to do with supply and demand!! It shows a sign of a company in trouble just like some recent designers who have gone under!!

Also there are many designers, designer reps look at this site. I know this because I was able to get on a website where these guys "chat" between each other. So watch out for big brother !!
