Bridesmaid`s Gifts
I was wondering what everyone is giving thier attendants as gifts. I`ve been agonizing over this for a while now, and don`t know what to buy them. I really need some ideas. Thanks.

I am giving my BM`s a terry towel rob with matching slippers. Along with a necklace. I bought the robes for $18 (from LaSenza on sale) and the neckalces for $20. This way they have something cozy to get into after dancing the night away. We are having a hard time thinking of something for the groomsmen. Any ideas?

For my bridesmaids, I am thinking about a few things:
1.) manicure and/or pedicure
2.) Hair and makeup expenses for the day of the wedding
3.) Jewelry
4.) Also, I am toying around with the idea of personalizing the gifts to match the personality of the bridesmaid.
Or, I may just point blank ASK each bridesmaid what they would prefer as far as the list goes....
For the groomsmen, I am not sure what my fiance has decided to do. I have seen many grooms give flasks with the groomsman`s name engraved on it.
Hope this helps!! Have a wonderful wedding!!

Like Carrie, I have decided to give my girls jewelry that will match for the wedding, I also got a personalized jewelry box to go along with their gift.
For the guys, I think my FH has decided on engraved pocket knives. He was also considering engraved zippo lighters.

My fiance is thinking about engraved flasks. Things Remembered has a nice selection of engravable gifts.
What are you spending per person? We budgeted $75-$100. Should we do more?

I don`t like the idea of giving them the jewelry they are going to wear that day, unless it is cool jewelry. Usually what I have received when I am in wedding are cheap looking pearl drop pieces that I would never wear again. A short time ago the initials were really popular and I saw a bride give each girl a necklace with their initial. That was kind of cool. Otherwise I am thinking of getting each girl something personal and special just for each of them.

But if you don`t get them the jewelry to wear.....then won`t it just be another expense for them to buy their own?

But what kind of a gift is that!?!?! Something that they will most likely just wear at one wedding??? Besides... Who says that they all have to have matching jewelry? I think they will all look beautfiul wearing something of their own.

Ok, Breathe.
I was just asking. That`s the only thing I`ve ever heard of my girlfriends giving or getting.
In fact, I just bought my dress and the saleswoman was showing me bridesmaid dresses. And she even told me to buy the girls their earrings and bracelet.

I am a little lost on my BM too, really like the robe/jewelry idea! For the Grooms men we found Bar Masters electronic flask. It is a electronic receipe list of more than 500 great drinks, gaget is shaped like a flask, a little hard to explain but really great! They were only about $20 a piece as well. Check out A Sharper Image for more!

Hi.. I am helping my neice plan her wedding... For bridesmaid gifts, she liked the pink jelly totes that Trista Rehn gave her attendants... I don`t know what they look like... Does anyone know where I can find a picture of this tote ( She says it`s pink with a bow)? Or where I could find this tote?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You`re not supposed to give them the jewelry you want them to wear at your wedding as their gift. If you want to get them the jewelry, that should be extra. But their gift is not supposed to be about you and your wants and needs. It`s supposed to be a gift all about your appreciation for them, not a gift that`s self serving to you. If you want them all to wear the same jewelry at your wedding then that is something you want for your wedding. It sure isn`t a gift to show your appreciation for them.

That`s why I was thinking about doing the manicure and pedicure.... It would be nice for them to have for the wedding, plus it isn`t totally for the wedding. I know that I don`t have money lying around to pamper myself with both a manicure and pedicure! I am still undecided, so what do yall think?

I`ve been in three weddings where the bridemaids gift was jewelry to be worn the day of the wedding. I`ve never worn any of the pieces since. I agree with Hanna, the bridemaids gifts are for the BRIDESMAIDS, not for you. Pick something they`ll actually like and use again, not something impersonal they can only use for the wedding. Also, you don`t have to get the same thing for every girl. You might think you don`t have time to shop around for different presents for everyone, but they`re making time to help you with your wedding, so make time to get them something meaningful and unique.
