Did you tell your parents you want a quince and they said yes? If yes, do they want you to do a church mass and a party or the party only? Either way, you will need to pick a date and then see if the church/priest and hall/party place are available. Then decide on a budget and start all the other planning.

There are so many details to make choices about: your honor escort, court of honor, padrinos/sponsors, items needed for yourself, the people involved in your quince, the church, and the party. Decide what things will take place at church and at the party and in what order. If you do the church thing your priest should already have a quince service he uses and you might be asked to pick out what music (if any) and Bible passages are read. If you attend a church other than a Catholic one, I have a quince service which is based on the Catholic service that I could email to you to give to your Pastor if you want.

If you can, get the book "Quinceanera! The Essential Guide to Planning the Perfect Sweet Fifteen Celebration" written by Michele Salcedo. It will REALLY help you! It`s not printed anymore, but sometimes you can find it in a public library to check out or people selling them on eBay or other book sellers or you might find a bookstore that still has one.

Start a notebook with sections of ideas on every little thing that you might need. Have a calendar in your notebook to keep track of appointments too. Here`s some things you will need notes on:
* church info--address, phone number, priest`s name, requirements, price, decorating or music restrictions.
* reception sites--address, phone number, rental person, price, size of room, decorating restrictions, things they have available or you need to get like tables & chairs & decorations.
* vendor names & phone numbers & addresses & prices & details in separate sections for: party planners, choreographers, photographers, caterers, dressmakers or bridal shops, florists, printers, videographers, hair stylists, limousines, DJs or bands or Mariachis, etc.
* your honor escort and/or court of honor info: names, address, phone numbers and their parents` names.
* your sponsor`s names, addresses, phone numbers and what or the $ amount they are sponsoring.
* guest list: names and addresses.
* gown, shoes, crown, gloves, etc ideas for you
* clothing ideas for your court (fabric swatches, pictures, prices, etc).
* music for church, your presentation at the party, your waltz with father, and your dance with escort/honor court.
* musicicans, DJs, and mariachis for church and party
* ideas for themes, colors, decorations, favors. Note materials needed, where to get them and cost.
* padrinos/sponsors: who to ask, how they responded, what they will sponsor or the amount they will give.
* name, address and phone number of your local newspaper if they run quince announcements with a form or what info you need to give them.
* dinner food and drink ideas
