Wedding Gift

Hey-My fiance(Luke) told me that his friend wants to paint his (Lukes) camaro for a wedding gift. It costs about 2 grand.
Luke feels uncomfortable-because of the amount of money and because its not a present for the both of us.
We don`t want to hurt our friends feelings-we just don`t know how to broach the subject--Any suggestions??
