REHEARSAL DINNER DISASTER
HELP!!! I am trying to help my friend throw the wedding of her dreams. 500 guests included. She thinks she needs to invite everyone she ever knew. Anyway, well the wedding is in July and she run out of money. We still have to plan the rehearsal dinner. My question is, does anyone know of a cheap way to throw a dinner for about 50 people. I know that we can do it in the backyard, but we still have to rent tables and chairs. Its getting crazy. So if anyone has any suggestions, please share.
I know that when I get married, its going to be small. This is just way too much.
Anyhoo, let me know.

Try renting a community center....In my area, we have quite a few and they are all reasonable. Usually, there is a $50-$100 deposit required, and you may receive half or all back pending no damage to the facility. This way, everyone could bring a dish, or have it catered. I would imagine catering for 50 people should be reasonable. Good luck and I hope this helps!

Why does there need to be 50 people at the rehearsal dinner? The rehearsal dinner is traditionally reserved for wedding party their dates & immediate family. If there is any way to cut down on the number of people at that dinner, you can cut the costs a whole lot. Also consider a potluck. That could completely illiminate the cost of food. Just an idea. I know everyone has their own way. I wish your girlfriend all the best. You are a good friend to help her with this.
