I CAN`T FIND A RECEPTION FACILITY!!!!!!!!
Hello. My name is Leslie. I will be getting married this December in Lady Lake, Florida. (It`s a town on the outskirts of Ocala, Florida)...and I can`t find anywhere to hold my reception. Everything seems to be booked and all the country clubs seem to avoid renting out the facilities to non members-even if they`re not booked! I`m running out ot time! Any suggestions. I`ll take the oddest of suggestions! Help!

An idea is to look into your park system, a lot of parks have their own pavilions, which some are open and some are closed. We live in Milwaukee and there is a beatiful building that is located by the lake. I always thought it was a restaurant, I looked into it, and found out that our city actually takes care of the rentals for that building. Look into museums, the zoo often has huge rooms that they rent out for receptions, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK, when you see a nice place ask, you might be surprised that they actually rent it! Good luck finding a place!

If you have already decided on a caterer, ask them where they have worked before. Or call different caterers and ask them about places they have done work in and their recommendations.

Hi- we also wanted to have our reception at the country club in our town- but we weren`t members and they didn`t seem to happy to let us have it there. So I had a member write a letter recommending us and within a week I got a call saying we could have it there. So if you know any members- maybe they can help. Just a suggestion- good luck!
