I am looking to have a dress made for me-a copy of a Carolina Herrera dress that was featured in Town and Country mag Feb 2004 Any ideas?

I have to disagree.
More then 90% of our gowns are custom made - and they cost much cheaper then any dress that you buy ready made, plus this gown comes made to your own tailored mesurements.
Our gowns take on average 6 weeks to make.
If you have a picture of your CH dress, you can email it to me and i can tell you if the tailor can make you a replica of it and quote you a price. Please try to submit clear and with detail pictures.
Good Luck!

More cheap you going to by, for sure more cheap you going to look, cheap fabrics, no crystal details on the bodice but pearls etc....Depend much on the dress that you want, and this is not at statistic but a common sense

To each bride is each budget & each taste
There are dresses which have no beading what so ever and cost over 3k
For example romona keveza gowns.
Why don`t you use that common sence you are advising yourself.
Not every bride can afford silk satin and many just use regular satin or poly satin - that does not make the dress cheap. If a bride has only $100 to spend on her gown to you that may be cheap to me, all i care about is that she looks like a million bucks to her husband to be.
My own wedding dress was $150 and it had satin/lace/ and pearls - IT IN NO WAY LOOKED CHEAP!
I just proved you incorrect 2 times!
Dear bride to be,
Good luck in finding you dream gown!

You are missing the point, we were talking about made on measure wedding dresses, Of course each briad included me buy what is affordable for own situation and it doesn`t mind that if is cheap is not nice, but I never found a tailor that does made on measure for $100, if does tell me who and I will employ. Made on measure (depend of the dress as well) is a big and accurate job that takes time. But I do not want to make a big deal out of this.....I am agree with you when you said good luck to the briads, becouse there are many people that are tryng to take advantage selling "cheap goods"
Anyway I wish you a good business
