Autumn Wedding
I am having an Autumn wedding and I really want it to be formal. I have seen plenty of ideas fo informal weddings and I really dislike the idea of pumpkins. Any help at all would be awesome!

My response is to Joni as well. My wedding date is the same as yours and I have chosen Apple as the color. So far I have found more choices with the Apple as compared to the other "wine/burgandy" colors. For flowers for example, I am using oriental star gazers as the main flower with a rose accent. And multiple other colored flowers to bring out the star gazer lillies. That way it can help make more choices for colors for decorations etc. I hope this helps.. So far I haven`t had much trouble finding things to go with Apple.

I`m having trouble fusing "formal" and "fall themed"...everything just seems SO Hee-Haw!!!

Since you don`t like the idea of pumpkins, one way to get the orange fall color into the theme would be to use some orange colored daisies or lilies. Just a thought.

I am geting married 10/16 of this year. I have chosen a VERY formal Ivory gown. I was in the same situation not being able to find things to "formal up" the affair. My colors are "Ivory and Merlot" (Burgandy & Not Quite White). My solutions have been a more formal invitation (not seal and send), I have Ivory linnens with gold sashes on the chair covers, and sticking monochromatic with the flowers. I am carrying an all black magic rose boquet and my gals are carrying all Ivory rose boquets. The ivory roses look AMAZING against the deep red of the girls dresses. I have found that is is the little touches that really kick things up a notch (ie: chair covers, invitation style, and favors). I wish you all the best!!
