Mexican Traditions

I`m looking for information on the Mexican tradition of arras, lasso, and the presentation of flowers to the Virgin Mary.. Their significance, the order in the religious service, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don`t know much about those traditions but....I saw some pictures of a Mexican wedding where they had those guitar players (not sure what they are called), the ones that dress up in black costumes, they were playing guitars at the reception. I thought it was pretty neat. Also, I think pinatas would make cute decorations for a wedding. Very colorful.

The groom gives the bride thirteen gold coins as a symbol of his unquestionable trust and confidence. He promises that he places all of his goods into her care and safekeeping. Acceptance by the bride means taking that trust and confidence unconditionally with total dedication.
The lazo, a double rosary is symbolic of their love which should bind the couple together everyday as they equally share the responsibility of marriage for the rest of their lives. Both of these traditions are very symbolic and they add a really special touch to the Mexican ceremony.

The flowers that are placed at the altar are offered to the Virgin of your choice, most Mexican people have a lot of faith in many saints and virgins, most brides offer their flowers to The Virgen of Guadalupe, thanking her for helping you find love and asking for continues blessings in your marriage.
