I got scammed by a so called internet shop that had great prices and all I got was - ZIPPO! NOTHING!!! After I talked to Maggie Sottero I found out that they do not allow shops to sell their gowns on line. I did get my gown but ot cost me!!

Please do always consider the source of your purchases; you do have to be careful. We heard about a place in Md. That took the money and ran. Not only do we have a real studio, we buy and ship dresses all over the country, to England, to Alaska as well. Our account is open with Sottero; we did not place our full Spring order, which may be why we are not listed on their website.

Most brides have no idea of what gown manufacturers may require of retailers. Some are quite liberal, however, others require opening orders of thousands of dollars, just for the privilege of being listed on their website. Not to mention minimum re-orders in no less than 24 pieces, etc, or buying an ENTIRE line of dresses just to get a specific design that may be popular in your area.

We do our best to serve all brides, gals in search of prom dresses, mom`s for themselves or communion and all other social occasions. And we try to offer all of you the best service, and the best prices we can.

What does not placing an order for the Spring yet have to do with whether or not you are an authorized dealer? Nothing. You are either an authorized dealer or you are not, whether you have "placed an order" or not. The Maggie Sottero website specifically cautions consumers against purchasing over the internet. Period.

They are probably one of those Discount Bridal service people who claim that they can save you money but all they really do is scam people because they are not a real bridal store which means they`re not an authorized seller of any bridal gown!!

Ladies: all we can do is attempt to offer you the best services and a great price, no matter what designer it is. If you`d like a FREE quote on a specific gown that you have seen somewhere else, please refer to the instructions in the opening message we sent on 4/30.

We do not quote any designer`s gowns on this or any other message board. The quote is FREE. If we can`t get you a better price, we say so. That`s the offer .. No obligations, it`s a FREE service.

If you want to shop with us, we`d be glad to have you as our customer. Now, I have a business to run ..

Here is a prime example of why brides have to be careful of buying your gown from an unaurorized retailer of any bridal gown desiger.

BEWARE of a lady name Melody Row from Everlasting Designs in Hagerstown , Maryland. Her email address is Aubrey6775@aol.com. She found me on this website after I posted looking for a certain dress.
I was being careful about not sending money to her before she sent the dress, and we agreed on COD. She strung me around for over 1 month about how Alfred Angelo kept sending her the wrong dress. I finally called them direct, and they NEVER even heard of her, her company, and town. I have an actual invoice for my order, but no dress, veil, or shoes. No bride should have to stress like I have. Email me for more details.

So before any of you girls buy from this so called retailer or any other internet retail, check with the designer to see if they are authorized to sell or you might get a "copy" of a gown - or worst get completely scammed .

Why do people copy and paste some one elses posting. Or say what they heard or what a friend of a friend might have said. The reason I ask is how can you know that it was even true. I think people should only post what they know to be FACT. What they have first hand knowlege of. It would make it easier on brides to make a decision. Let`s not spread gossip let`s spread fact.
