Open Field!

I need help! I am wanting to plan a cheap wedding in an open field! It is on the land that my boyfriend`s dad is giving us to build our house. There is nothing there except grass. We are going to having the wedding in May 2005. I want to get an early start with planning to spread out the expeinces. My parents are going to help with the experience but if I go cheap they are going to help with the down payment on our loan for our house. Thanks for any adivice!!!! Tiffany

Outdoor weddings are always beautiful. Just check the weather reports and make sure there is little chance of rain for that day.

If you`re having an outdoor wedding one of the first choices you`ll have to make is whether or not the guests will stand.
If you`re having a large wedding, standing for the ceremony won`t really be an option.
So you`ll have to rent/borrow chairs. If you or your fiance belong to a church they may have folding chairs you could borrow. Then you could rent chairslips for the chairs ($2 and up). If you don`t have chairs at your disposal, you`ll probably have to rent them. It will be pricey, but about the same as if you had to rent a church or other venue.
You could build/rent a platform (a foot or so high) for the ceremony to take place on.
You could build/rent an arch.

Hope this helps

My wedding it outdoors in just a couple of months. We are having it at the park, so there is alot of scenery. But if your wedding is going to be in an open field what about having it at sunset? It adds wonderful scenery, and it`s free. For the flowers, you could do flower petals (in the color of your wedding, or just white) EVERYWHERE. I saw this at a wedding in a magazine and it was beautiful! And flower petals are given out for cheap by the buckets, by florist. If you are having an outdoor wedding, you can use that as your theme. I am really playing up on the leaves and scenery of the park with the outfits for the bridal party. Think comfort, and cheap! I think you have a wonderful idea having your wedding at your future home site. Good luck!
