Promise Rings, Who Dose It?

Can a girl give a guy a promise ring? if so what type of ring? dose it go on your engagement finger? -please help me~! thanks

I do not see any reason why she can`t. I gave my fiancee an engagement ring, he gave me one as well. I would go to the jewler and ask. I think any ring would work. And yes it goes on the engagement finger
