What Do I Do To Become A Wedding Planner?

I am 19 and dream of planning magical weddings. I am currently an Interior Design Major , but am unsure if this is the right major for a career in wedding planning. Is that right? What should I major in if not IntD? What can I do to become a Wedding Planner? Please help.

Look into taking courses in Marketing. As a wedding coordinator you will do a lot of marketing. You can also take online courses to be a wedding coordinator. However if you are wanting to work at a large reception site or a nieghborhood that host weddings you will need the marketing degree. Most of the coordinators there are also the Marketing Directors.
