Reception Game Ideas

I will be getting married in 3 months. I have been trying to come up with a unique idea for the centerpiece giveaway at the reception, instead of the usual "pass the salt n pepper shakers while music is played, and when the music stops whoever is holding the shakers gets the centerpiece." Please help with some original game ideas so that every guest at each table can enjoy and remember.
Thanks,
Shell

Maybe musical chairs? Or a dollar dance?

If you are having random seating you could tack a note under one chair at each table and whoever happens to sit there gets it. You could also have a contest, who can hula hoop the longest, who can name the most movies/songs with the words love in it, who is daring enough to sing a song in front of everyone, etc. You could also go with the person whose birthday/anniversary is closest to your wedding date, or perhaps have a contest to see who is the most knowledgable about you and your fiance: Can anyone name your pet name for him? What did you do on your first date? What was your first argument about? Good luck I hope some of these ideas help!

It is also common in some cultures, that at wedding receptions the groom and best man will give a short, five minute speech and make a toast. (Bride does not make any speech). We were going to do this at our wedding but ran out of time. Its something to think about at least.

What I did at my wedding is that I told guest that one person at each table take out a dollar bill, then they pass the dollar bill to the next guest at the same table while playing music. When the music stops whoever has the dollar bill at the time keeps it, but the person that took out the dollar bill to start the game keeps the centerpiece. Just make sure that it`s only a $1 bill. Good luck and congratulations!!
