Hi, Felicidades! This will be a unforgetable time for you. I`m a little older than you are, however I did have a Quinceanero when I lived in Puerto Rico. There are some traditional things you may want to follow. For example: Back home before the reception starts the quinceanera, parents, family and guest go to church for a blessing. ( this could be any church, talk to a paster or someone from the church you attend. If you don`t attend a chruch on a regular basis they can still have a blessing for you.) There is also the Father and Daughter dance. (the theme of the song should be from father to daughter or daughter to father) The style of the song can be any style you would like. My father and I danced to, "Tus Quince", it is a Salsa. If unfortunetly you don`t have your father with you, you can Dance with your MOM. I`ve seen it done before. There is also the part where your Father or Mother puts on your first high heels, (as if you didn`t already use them, LOL) That`s just to represent your are now a young woman and no longer a little girl. There is also your speach. ( Your will address your family, friends and guest to say thank you and to share with them your acheivements and future plans, such as: good grades, something extra good that has happend to you and your family, and your plans to continue school and go to college). There are other things you can do. I`d be happy to give you more details if you would like. Feel free to email me . I hope my response was able to asist you. B4 I forget, the most important thing is you have a great time and PARTY.
