Mock Prom

I was just wondering if anyone knows how I can get my boyfriends tux size without him knowing thats what I`m doing so I can rent a tux for him.
I am trying to have a mock prom for him since he didnt get to go to his. I want it to be a surprise though so I cant just ask him. Any ideas for any part of the night would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking about having it in our living room since we have 2 kids and money is kinda tight. A cheap hotel room is an option though.

Try taking another piece of clothing, such as a dress shirt and the measurements. Normally the tux jacket will be just a bit bigger. Also measure his jeans. You can probabaly take his height, weight, and measurements to the tux place and they should be experienced enough to figure it out.
I bought my FH a tux at a consignment shop and it is too small for him and now it is hanging in my closet collecting dust.
