Bride Singing At The Reception

Hi. I am getting married this summer. I would like to pay tribute to my parents by singing "Wind Beneath My Wings" to them at my reception, as that song has special meaning between us. I would like to do this as a surprise, and not even let my fiance know about it.
I do have a pretty good voice and have performed solo in front of large crowds before, but it has been a while. If I go ahead with this, I will probably meet with a voice coach a few times before my wedding.
What do you all think of this idea? Is it corny? Would people laugh or feel uncomfortable? Please help!

I think it`s beautiful. It will be a nice surprise for everyone. I wish I had your courage.

I did attend a rehearsal dinner, where the bride sang a song to everyone. It was nice. She sang a country & western song. I think it would be very entertaining for your guests and they would enjoy it.

Awesome idea! I actually sang to my husband during my wedding. Turned out great. If you love to sing and want to pay special tribute, go for it girl! :-)
