Depo Shot

I just started on the depo shot, I`ve only had 1.
Recently i had a baby 4 months ago.
Since I have not had a period on or off the shot.
I have had some tummy cramps and a very very slight amount of a brown discharge.
I just wondering if it`s possible to get pregnant on the shot, and or side effects?
