Addressing The Invites
Ok we are getting ready to address and send out our invites, but I a bit confused about the wording. Our invites have both an inner & outter envelope and I`m really not sure how this is done. What I`m thinking is that the outter would read
Mr. & Mrs. Robert Smith
123 West Main Street
Somethingville, CT 06888
And then the inner would read
Jane & Robert Smith
Is this correct??
Please help.

Yes, that is correct.
However, you do have a couple of other choices for the inner envelope depending on the formality of the invitation and how familiar you are to the guest.
For instance, for a very formal invitation you might opt to put "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" on the inner envelope. For a more informal or casual wedding you may choose to just put "Jane and Bob". Or for a close family member "Aunt Jane and Uncle Bob".
What you have is perfectly correct and acceptable for all types of invitations. Just letting you know that there are other options if you need them.
