I`m a bride and I`m getting married in June. I`ve been through the David`s Bridal wringer more than once now and I`m very disappointed in their lack of organization and their attitudes about their mistakes. I was given the usual warnings from other Bride`s about this place, but I wanted to give my bridesmaids options in style and cost. Yes, they are inexpensive as far as other Bridal stores go. However, what they lack in cost they make up for in horrible service. The store in Taylor, Michigan has got to be the worst yet. I was working out of 3 different stores in two states. This store in Taylor was the one that lost measurements for my bridesmaids twice for each girl! What is this a record their trying to live up to or what? One of their Assistant Managers (you know who you are L.H.) was very rude to them as well. THAT is never called for in the retail business!!! I, myself, am in retail and that is unacceptable. I also had a top come back the wrong style (strapless) for a 13 year-old girl!!! When I went back...I calmly asked to be reimbursed somehow for my troubles (this was AFTER losing the measurements and their attitudes). I was directed to the Asst. Mgr (who turned out to be the one that was rude to the girls) and in the end I demanded to be compensated! Yes, it was only 15% off the top, but it`s not the $$$ it`s the principle! They are STILL using `files` for each girl and everytime you come in they have to HUNT DOWN YOUR INFORMATION!!! I mean, who uses files anymore? They order through a computer but why not keep records of measurements in there as well??? Instead they lose everything in the multiple file drawers on the site. Give me a break! This is the worst company in the world to be dealing with nervous, anxious, and stressed young and older women!!! This is the most important step in a woman`s life and she is handing her trust into the hands of a bomb waiting to explode!!! Not to mention tons of money each year from excited brides-to-be!!!! I bought MY dress elsewhere (Julie`s Bridal Imports in Plymouth, Michigan...they were absolutely superb!) and I`m sooooo glad!!!! I can`t imagine not having my dress right now. And they wanted to do my bridesmaids alterations??? No way!!! Plus, they said 8-10 weeks???? Wow, how many girls do you think turned tail and ran when they heard that??? My girls` dresses came in 2 weeks. There`s ALWAYS a downside to over...W-A-Y overestimating!!! People walk! Especially Brides!
