Sweet 16 In October

Heres a tip: if its going to be at night, you can get pretty hanging lanterns or like glowlights for everyone. Also, people love dancing, so if you can, hire a dj. If not get a boombox out and play some of your favorite jams/songs that are great to dance to.

People love snacking in between the fun so have a variety of food/drinks out.

You could have a singing contest, a dancing contest, or you could just watch movies with all your friends. Comedies are great, and horror flicks are good if you have guys. That way, you can cuddle up to them if you get scared. :D i hope this helps, sorry if it didnt.

Heyy! one idea is have it at night!!!! becuz u can hang great lanterns! if u don`t want it halloween related then tell evry1 to dress nice n try u`re hardest not to use orange n black! Also since u`re inviting family n friends try to mix it up a bit but dont put friends with older older mebers of family. Put them in with the teenagers n college students! dont stress over u`re family hating the music because u should play wut u want!! also hang sum roses or like other nice flowers along the tent! it will make it seem less halloween related! -lily

Here`s one of the things I`m doing for my daughter`s sweet 16 next week. We are using a local night club but since she was the hoola hoop champion in school, I`ve bought 50 hooa hoops at the discount store and between dancing and dinner we are going to have a hoola hoop contest. We`ll have to have two since I only have 50 or maybe some people won`t be interested but it should be tons of fun. I think after everyone is comfortable and the ice has been broken then something a little silly or nostalgic can really be alot of fun and bring out the kid in people!
