Can I Shorten My Dress? Please Help
Is it possible to shorten a dress that has a beaded border on the bottom? i found a dress that has a sheer overlay with beadings all around the bottom of the dress. I dont wanna lose the beadings when i shorten it. I know i can ask the seamstress about this but i really am curious to know asap. Also, how short should it be? should it barely touch the floor? anyone with any info on this, please let me know. Thanks.

I realy have to see the dress for let you know, my laboratory does this kind of alteration but I can not tell you 100% sure if is possible, if you can send my by e-mail the picture of the dress I will be more helpfull

It can be done 90% of the time, but it`s not a very easy job. Also depending where you live & who is altering the dress will determine the price of the alteration. One way to leave a beaded hemline & yet still shorten the dress, it gets in a way cut in half at the waist, unneeded material is taken off and it gets attached back at the waist line.
