Wedding Favors
I am having trouble coming up with ideas for inexpensive wedding favor for approximately 200 people. I really like the idea of giving a tree seedling in a test tube as a favor but am afraid that could get costly..Does anybody have any suggestions?.Thanks

I thought about the idea of giving tree seedlings. It`s a great idea and you could probably make it cheaper by eliminating the test tube and just wrap the bottom of the seedling in burlap and tie it in a simple know with raffia that you can buy at a craft store. Go for it. I also posted another idea for favors that I am doing for my own wedding on the "Are wedding favors a waste of money?" message board (might actually be a different message title but it`s along those lines)

How about seed packets (flowers)?? Very cheap and you could print up little envelopes (paper wraps - I`ve done it before - very easy) with your names & date and a cute little saying & print them out on your home computer & wrap it with a ribbon.
E-mail me if you want. Pkscountrycloset@aol.com
Good luck!

You could give out small packets of flower seeds as wedding favors. Sometimes those go on sale and can cost as low as ten cents per packet.

How about 120 individually wrapped buttermints for 5 dollars plus shipping? Each wrapper reads "Thank you for sharing our special day." One of my friends had these at her wedding and they were very classy.
I found these at the website for Oriental Trading Company.
It has the cheapest prices on favors, favor boxes and bags I`ve ever seen. They`re cheaper than eBay--and I`m an eBay addict! You can go to their site and click on "shop wedding" and then click on "favors". I bought all my plastic champagne flutes from them, including a white "autograph bear" for my guests to sign at the reception. It will be such a fun keepsake!
Congratulations and Best Wishes!

You could do silver dollars from the year of the wedding (only $1.00 each). You can also do a Yankee Candle in Wedding Day scent (about $2.50 each).

We are having white favor boxes (3x3x2) filled with hershey kisses and tied with ribbon. We are also having 200 guests so I was looking for something that was not going to bankrupt me. I got the boxes from papemart.com for $9.00 per case of 100.
