Bridesmaid Dresses
I am a bridesmaid for a friend`s wedding in October. She is in LA and I`m in the UK. In the UK the bride traditionally buys the bridesmaid`s dresses. Is that the case in the US as well? I don`t want to assume that it is, but also feel it`s inappropriate to ask. She`s asking us to wear something I`ll probably never wear again!

Yes typically the BM`s pay for their own dresses for American Weddings.
