Father Daughter Dance

I am getting married in may of 04 and i need a few ideas for my father daughter dance. My father passed away in 88 but i want my dance to be about him and that i wish he was here and i miss him. I read on another posted message about "in the living years" by mike and the machanics but my father and i did not have a bad relationship as it implys in that song. All suggestions are welcome and thank you.

Sorry, I meant to include the lyrics to Dance with my Father (Luther Vandross). It is such the perfect song for a deceased father. I hope this helps.

Back when I was a child
Before life removed all the innocence
My father would lift me high and dance with my mother and me
And then spin me around til I fell asleep
Then up the stairs he would carry me
And i knew for sure I was loved

If I could get another chance
Another walk, another dance with him
I`d play a song that would never ever end
How I`d love love love
To dance with my father again

When I and my mother would disagree
To get my way I would run from her to him
He`d make me laughed just to comfort me
Then make me do just what my mother said
Later that night when i was asleep
He left a dollar under my sheet
Never dreamed that he would be gone from me

If I could steal one final glace
One final step one final dance with him
I`d play a song that would never ever end
Cause I`d love love love
To dance with my father again

Sometimes I`d listen outside her door
And hear how my mama cried for him
I`d pray for her even more than me
I`d pray for her even more than me

I know i`m praying for much too much
But you send back the only man she loved
I know you don`t do it usually
But lord she`s dying to dance with my father again
Every night I`d fall asleep and this is all I`d ever dream

Try "She Laughed" by Dana Parish -- I think you can read the lyrics or maybe hear the song
