Budget Long Distance Weddings

I am recently engaged but experiencing a dillema. I am from London, ON originlly, my fiance is from ottawa, ON, we met in school and now both live in st. Catharines, ON, which is 2 hours from london and 5 hours from ottawa. We cant agree on a location, my mom wants it in London so people can stay with other people but him and his mother want it in st. Catharines??? i dont know what to do! also anyone have any suggestions for a low buget but still nice wedding? seeing as we are both just finishing up univeristiy money is really tight
