Unless you are an extremely busy or extremely lazy person, you don`t need a wedding planner. You have to decide what your budget is, no one can do that for you. Since you have so much time before your wedding, shop around! Hit off season sales and such to find the best deals. Do alot of your own things. I am also getting married in 2006 and I made my own bouquts, flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow. I bought my center pieces at the dollar store. All a wedding planner is going to do is take your money to do exactly what you can do for yourself. There is a site I came across, that helps alot and I think there is a site here on partypop that gives alot of money saving tips! Goodluck!

Just so you know planners ARE a necessity in the process of planning a wedding. They are part of your budget not an additional cost. Usually the planner charges 10% of your total wedding budget, which by the way will pay for itself plus because you will recoupe the cost in the discounts that the planner will get you through caterers, florist (which happens to be one of the biggest costs), d.j.`s and any rentals you will need such as chairs, linens, lighting, and/or anything you may need. Even if you have a certain florist, d.j., or caterer in mind they will almost always give you a discount through the planner because they know the planner will refer them to other clients.

Please have someone who is good at English proofread what you want to say. My spelling may not be spelling bee material, but your errors are a total embarrassment. You are either just looking for a laugh by purposely making errors or you a-r-e in dire need of more schooling. For crying out loud, finish school first, then perhaps we can figure out what the heck you are asking. Come on.

How do you figure they are a NECESSITY, I am currently working on becoming a wedding planner and I would not tell every bride they need me.
I have planned my entire wedding for 200 people for under 10,000 just because I knew what to ask and where to go.
If you have the power t negotiate then you will be fine on your own. Go to fireyourwedding planner.com, the lady that runs that site, Steph, is great. She knows exactly how to put on a really nice wedding at a frugal price! As she says, it is your money so act like it.

Who cares about her spelling, I understood it just fine.

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding. I have been planning all types of events for over 10 years. I have recently spread my wings and started my own event planning business. I would be very happy to help in planning a very wonderful, yet cost effective wedding for you. I planned and designed my own wedding with a small budget. Please email me if you still need ideas, and assistance.

Thank you,
