Do you not like the traditional wedding march music? A lot of people don`t. Try Pachelbel Canon in D. Any experienced wedding organist/musician should know this piece.

The wedding party and I are walking in to Pachelbels Cannon in D, when its time for the bride ask your musicians to "build it musically" that way it seperates you from the rest of the wedding party. Other songs I have done at processionals are:Trumpey Voluntary, Hymne, Air, Spring, and my favorite "Love is the Sunlight"--piano only or insturmental. You can build all of these. If you are getting married in a church as the musicians some songs you can`t use. I know that in the Catholic church you can`t use the Wedding March.

This may sound funny...my fiance is a huge Star Wars fan, not my thing, but we thought it would be cute to be introduced with the Star Wars Theme. Maybe you could use a theme song to something you or he likes, think childhood songs too. I was at a wedding where they introduced the wedding party to Men In Black, all the guys wore sunglasses, it was really funny.

My FH is also a huge Star Wars fan, we never thought of that and I hope he doesn`t. I am having my FH and his best friend (who have a band) write, play and produce my music for me. I will have personalized wedding music. Though my entrance song I wanted Beautiful People by Marilyn MAnson, our first dance is Nothing Else Matters by Metallica and the garter toss is Rob Zombies remake of Brickhouse. I HATE traditional wedding music. We are so not the gushy, sappy type people. We aren`t even having flowers! I think you can use anything that you like. You can have lyrics taken out and just have music or whatever. It all depends on your personal preference

It`s not that i don`t like the traditional wedding march music; i just like to be different. We are getting married outside in a park. So our music will be from a cd/stereo. Thanks for all the input. If anyone else has any ideas please feel free to post. Thanks :o)

It realy depends on how fast you want the music to be. Theres "As we stroll down the aisle together" and also "From this moment". I am one of jehovah`s witnesses,so my ceremony music is coming out of the song book. I am using 111 for the B.P and 117 for me.

I searched forever to find the right song to walk down the aisle as I wanted something classical but not sickly. I also didn;t want something grandeous which wouldn`t suit the venue as it wasn`t in a big church.
I found my DREAM song.
Nella Fantasia by Celtic Woman
All the girls cried including me, it;s so powerful and makes a wonderful entrance. The words in english translation are also touching.
Hope this helps !
