Gift Bags For Guest In Their Hotel Rooms...
We are expecting a large number of out-of-town guest for my daughter`s August wedding. As a thank you and appreciation for joining us we are making gift bags to be in the guest room when they check-in. I would appreciate your thoughts on goodies that should go in the gift bag. We have thought of bottled water, peanuts, crackers etc and information on area attractions, but was wondering if any of you have recived a gift bag before and remember any cool items that we can include in our bags. Also several guest will be bringing small childern and we would like to have something in the bags for them. Thanks for your thoughts and input.

Something more substantial than the nuts or crackers would be nice. Perhaps a couple pieces of fresh fruit.
A deck of cards or a coloring book and a 4 pack of crayons is also nice for the kids during down time in the hotel.
Don`t waste your money on fancy creams and soaps and stuff. The hotel always provides those things as an amenity

Depending on how long they are staying....the ones with youger children...they may like a small list of babysitters that you know of, so that they can go out for a few hours on their own. Or take the children back to the hotel earlier in the reception, so they can enjoy the rest by themselves.

The last bridal guide had a great article with ideas on the bags!.... They said you can do a theme. LIke summer so you could put everything in beach pails if you live near the ocean, or put sunblock, flipflops and sunscreen that type of thing. I love the idea and hope i will be able to squeeze these into my budget.
