AFFORDABLE HONEYMOONS
I`ve been engaged for about a month now but have been with my Fience` Nick for almost 7 years. We have not set a date for our wedding as of yet, we are thinking of having an August wedding. I am beginning to look into everything necessary to have a wonderful and memoriable wedding day and honeymoon. We have an extremly tight budget for the honeymoon but do want something romantic and affordable. We are hoping not to spend more then 1000-1,500. I am open to any ideas.
Thank you,
Misty

I would recommend looking into nice bed and breakfasts or inns that are a 4-6 hour drive from where you live. You can generally reserve the honeymoon suite in an inn or B&B for under $200 a night, depending on your region of the country. The biggest expense with honeymoons is airline travel and renting a car, and if you go somewhere that you can drive, you can save $700-$1000 on the honeymoon.
My fiancee and I chose a romantic cabin in the great smoky mountains, which are about a 6 hour drive. The total cost for eating out almost every meal and the cabin is under $1500. We chose the nicest, most luxurious cabin we could find, too (hot tub, jacuzzi, king bed, fireplace, big screen TV, etc)
Good luck!
