Invitation Wording
Hello:) My husband and I have been planning a July wedding. However, do to him being in the military we went ahead with a quick courthouse marriage while I visited him over spring break. My question, is it still acceptable to use the invitations we already have ready to send that say "This day I marry my friend." My brother has been licensed to perform our ceremony in July and only our immediate families know that we have already "eloped". We still feel that this will be our real wedding so can we still use those invitations?

It depends. Do you want to hear the correct answer or do you want to hear "It`s YOUR day so you should do whatever you want!!!" ?? Let me know.

Hi
I`m also a military bride and I know that things can change in an instant. Also I know that being in the military don`t make ya rich..so I say use the ones you already have. I definitly would. What`s the harm. There is no need spending more money when you have perfectly good invitations....besides no one will even remember what the said or looked like an hour after the wedding.
Good luck with your marriage and good luck with your new life in the military.
