This would be kind of a Parisian style wedding theme?

Gwennie, perhaps you could find the soundtrack to the movie "Moulin Rouge" and play it during your reception.

How about an eiffel tower cake topper? Lots of pixie lights around the reception area to mimic the lights covering the Moulin Rouge. A smaller windmill from a garden center spray painted gold for decoration for one of the banquet tables, it could placed in the center of a slightly rumpled pile of irridecent tulle and then have champange glasses organized all around it. If it is an outside reception area, fireworks before the bride and groom leave.

Great Theme!! How about stained-glass candle lanterns on tables, nouveau-design programs and invitations (check out some books on nouveau patterns/lettering and Louis Comfort Tiffany designs) and fun favors like mini champagne glasses with french chocolates in them, or even simple paris postcards. I would definitely suggest soft lighting too. Best of luck!!

What about serving espresso and cappuccino coffee at the reception.
