Becoming An Event Coordinator

Hello, I am trying to get started in becoming a event coordinator and wedding planner. Ever since I was 16, I have planned events and they where very successful. I am now 24 and Im planning my own wedding and I find myself feeling an urgency in working in this field full time. I have always been fascinated and have done very well in this field in the past. I am now living in NYC and I dont know how I can get started. I am asking for advice and welcoming any assistance in getting started in this field.
