Hello, my daughter is having one in June the song that we chose was DE NINA A MUJER. Other suggestes NINA BONITA OR BUTTERFLY KISSES. I hope this helps good Luck

Erin,
A quiencenera is when a hispanic girl has her 15th b-day. Its a very special event that takes planning every since the day she was born. Its also for girls who are Catholic. All together its like a Prom, B-day Party, and Chruch all in one. First you go to Chruch with the Quince and the father talks about her living in God`s path and blesses her. She recieves gifts during this time from the padrinos and padrinas (people who supported her party) such as the Bible, Earrings, Necklace, Tiara, etc.
After that theres a sit down dinner thrown for her usually in the town hall. After the eating a dance beings in honor of her which one important thing is the father~daughter dance when her father changes her shoes showing that shes becoming a a women. After that its the waltz with her court of honor either 7 or usually 14 of her cloest friends and family. She also has an escort of the night. Then after that everybody is invited to dance the night away in honor of her. And of course she is the princess of the ball since shes the only one in the big poffy white dress.
