Yes, the only difference between living together and marriage is a slip of paper; a contract between the two sides that each person will take part in their responsibilty, and give the other party their due rights. So if I am selling my car, and you ask me to sign a contract, i`ll just say, "hon, whats the difference, just give me the money, i`ll give ya the car. Everyone knows i gave you the car, and you gave me the money"...a few days later, i call the cops and tell them you stole my car. What proof do you have that you paid me? none....but then again, its just a slip of paper.....

You are demented. When you are marrying someone, you are not buying anything. ANYONE in a relationship should have trust, without that, there should be no relationship. Signing your name to a piece of paper doesn`t mean that that person will love you for all your life. It also doesn`t mean that they will remain faithful. When you marry (or live together), you TRUST that person to remain faithful and love you forever. Marriage is a promise, but as everyone knows, promises are all too often broken. Love is not a requirement of marriage, and neither is trust, but hopefully both will be given without a second thought. People who live together do this just the same as people who a married. This is what love is about. If you can`t see that, then you need to remove your blinders and relook at what love really is.
