Receiving Line

Okay another question.
I wonder if it`s okay to just have the bride & groom and the best man and MOH stand in the receiving line? The reason is that my parents are divorced and both re-married (for over 20 yrs). I am very close to both sets of parents. My FIL`s want to be in the receiving line, however I don`t want 8 people in the line with over 150 guests. My parents don`t want to be in the receiving line because they don`t want me to have to introduce them as "step-dad or step-mom". They have been in my life since I was 5 yrs old, they are my parents. Where my FIL`s do want to be in it. I`m thinking of just having the B&G and 2 attendants. Is that okay?

Remember one thing as you plan your wedding. It`s YOUR wedding. If you don`t want all the drama don`t have it. The bride and groom are who people come to see so if that`s all you want in the receiving line that`s all you should have. Not to metion with that many people it takes people longer to get through the line. Not to mention for guests it can be awkward since they do not know all of the parents. You can`t be there to introduce everyone. I say stick with just bride and groom.
