Going Away Outift
Are any of you changing from your wedding gown into a different outfit after the reception, before leaving for your hotel (or wherever you`re spending your wedding night)? I know that it used to be done when you left from the reception to go to the airport to start your honeymoon. I can`t decide whether to change or just stay in my wedding gown until we get to the hotel. What are you doing?

I think its better to change into a dress and not wear the wedding gown after the wedding.

I have bought a dress (not fancy or anything) for after the reception.
It is probably easier for me to change though since I`m staying at the same place the wedding and reception is.
My fiance and I decided to change for the "after party" so when the band is gone and all the grandparents have gone to bed, we will change into something a little bit more comfortable. I have seen it more at the weddings I have been to recently and I would recommend it.

I`m changing into a white pantsuit during the reception. After all the "required activities." I just want to get comfortable for the rest of the party! It`s really up to you though. If you`re not having a long reception there may not be any point in changing.

I know tha ta lot of girls change into a similar outfit such as a white cotton dress or a white pant suit or white shorts and blouse or something...still comfortable. Some keep head peices on when wearing these outfits to make it a bit more formal. My friend wore khaki capris and a dressy tank at hers. Good Luck.
