No Cash Please

I completely agree that including solicitations for gifts/cash in a wedding invitation is rude. My fiance and I are getting married and only want our guests to come and enjoy the wedding - no gifts or money. What do y`all think about a phrase like "Your presence is the only gift we desire" in the invite or do you think that should be done by word of mouth too. Ideas anyone?...
