Results Of The "i Need Information"
I got sooo many requests for the results for the survey results that i just decided to post it rather than doing tones of emails.... I`ll let you all know first off that my presentation went splendidly and my prof particularly liked the survey .... So i owe all of you that decided to participate a great big THANK YOU!!!! I and my partner also owe a thank you my FH for constructing the program that helped us organize all of the data from all of the survey printouts. (I pratically went blind trying to do it myself)
Ok.. About the survey
First of all.. You should all know that this is by no means a scientific survey as i couldn`t get a significant sample of the population and had no means of controlling the sample. It was done mearly as an add on to my project as a point of interest. Having said all of that, it was worth the effort and the results were quite interesting (I think).
Second... We had to change the topic, eliminating developing countries. This decision was made not for lack of data but rather the opposite.... Too much information. The project was getting too big and so had to be cut in half (it was only an hour long presentation).
This survey was conducted for information for one classes major project, and was presented at Lakehead University on March 15, 2004 in Social Work and Feminist Perspectives. The project was presented by Stacey Cham (thats me), and Melissa Miettinen.
My population base consisted of the users of several web pages:
CB Boards, The Knot, Partypop.com, Ultimate Wedding Web Page
Sample size
175 completed responses
The questions are followed by the answers in (%).
