Couple Wedding Shower

We are trying to come up with an idea for a couple wedding shower that incorporates bridges...groom is an engineer. We are thinking of "bridging their lives together"? New beginning? Any ideas?

I dunno if this will help but my sister and her now husband had their wedding shower at a park. Just having fun playing volleyball flyi kites eating cake, bar b queing. Its really fun and its nice to just relax and laugh and have a good time
