Do People Register For Showers??

Do people typically set up registries for wedding / bridal showers? For one of my showers I`d like to have a bed & bath theme. I`m not sure if it is politically correct to have a registry or not. I can`t imagine how it would work otherwise because I think i would end up with a lot of mismatched towels. Can anybody help?

Liza, you can either register for all of that stuff with your regular gift registery, or have the person hosting your shower explain to people that you need linens and what colours etc you like. Most people won`t just buy one towel, they will buy 2 with a face cloth and hand towel with it. I myself am not registering for that stuff, but my MOH is telling people that it is a linen`s themed shower. You get a lot of really funky towels, table clothes, pillows etc.

Most definitely. All the weddings and bridal showers that I`ve gone to, everyone has registered. I, personally believe that this is the best thing. It really takes the guess work out of "what should I get for them?" And like you just mentioned - the couple is not ending up with a lot of mix-matched items. You`re getting exactly what you asked for. Go ahead and register.

Yes people do register at different stores. Not everyone who gets married will set up a registry, though.
