I Will Never Buy A Dress At David`s Bridal
I was shopping at a David`s Bridal on 10/25/03 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The wedding consultant (Jennifer) assigned to help me select and try on a wedding dress was rude and completely unprofessional. She insulted me and said that "dresses in plus sizes are hard to find." In additon, I was trying on a dress that was my size in wedding dresses, but she meagerly attempted to help me and said that "this dress is not going to fit you." The area outside of the fitting rooms was a disaster and I almost tripped on a tiera. When I tried to go over to a debris-free area with three way mirrors to get a full view of my dress, she told me that there wasn`t any room over there to look at dresses. I was completely insulted and unsatisfied by my visit to this store!

Kristine, I am pleased that you had a great experience at David`s Bridal, at least a few do. My point is the Tampa Store said they were ordering my dress straight from the factory brand new. This was not the case. They may have "Dry Cleaned" it and sent it from another store, but the fact remains the same; they did not disclose these details to me at the time of the sale and straight out lied to make the sale. As you know in your "great experience" with them that all sales are final!!! It was too late for me to take my business somewhere else, because I didn`t find out that this is how they conducted business until it was too late. If I would have known at least I could have had a chance to make that decision. I was denied the chance to make an informed decision because they purposefully led me to believe my dress was new and not tried on by Lord knows how many different girls. I believe it is a scam and consumer fraud. It might be alright for you to buy a dress that`s been tried on by who knows how many and then dry cleaned, at least you knew what you were getting. I didn`t. In addition, I have dealt with the Evansville,IN & Louisville, KY stores as well and they were so "Attentive" to my bridesmaids that they didn`t even give them the correct dress to try on! It seems there are more complaints than compliments about David`s Bridal; Why is that? You just got Lucky in your experience!

I agree with NEVER buying a dress from David`s Bridal. My experience with them was a living nightmare!!! They were rude and had no clue what was going on! I am a plus size Bride-to-be and it was like they had no time for me. They did not give one on one service at all and the prices for the Plus size bridal gowns are RIDICULOUS! I found some of the same dresses on-line for at least 400.00 dollars cheaper.

How many times will this same complaint be posted?
I had a good experience at David`s Bridal. They sold me the gown of my dreams at a great price.

The reality is that David`s Bridal is a cheap discount bridal store. Although you should be, at a minimum, treated with respect during your visit, you shouldn`t expect a whole lot from a discount store. If you want personalized attention when shopping for a gown you have to pay for it. David`s has cheap dresses so you`re not going to get much attention.
Remember, you get what you pay for!
