How Many Guests Are You Inviting?
I`d like to know a rough estimate of how many guests people are inviting to their wedding?
Also, how much is "too much" to spend on your wedding (ceremony and reception)? What is your budget?

We are inviting about 195 people (give or take a few). We are spending about $10,000 on our reception alone ($18,000) total. But I don`t think there you can pick an amount to say that is too much, it just depends on the couple.

We are inviting 50 guest and our budget is $4,000.00
If you shop around and do things yourself or have family and friends help you can save big $$$. I think that everyone has to decide for themselves what is too much for them as it differs from couple to couple. Good Luck!

Well, we spent 20,000 on our wedding and had 300 people. The amount of people you invite depends on your budget and the number of family and friends you have

We are expecting to have a turn out of 120-150 people. We have large family and wanted some way of keeping a lid on this thing.. Otherwise it could get huge (which we can`t really afford ) So we booked a hall (the fort william Country Club) that has a maximum capacity of 180. Once that was done we know we had a limit and started up the list. Even though we are only having that many people we have sent out invitations to about 250 persons. Most of them are out of town family and we didn`t want to hurt any of their feelings by not sending them an invite even though it`s unlikely that they will be able to come.

We are inviting about 220 folks, but only expecting about 150 to come. Our budget is $17,000, for everything. That comes out to about $3000 for rentals and $35 to $40/head for food. $10/head for booze (we`re supplying it ourselves).

We`re inviting close to 300 - but we`re expecting about 225 to come. (Who knows, though.) We`re doing almost everything ourselves, and my mom and aunts are catering. Our budget is $7500. --- But my hope is that it doesn`t look "low budget" at all.

We`re inviting 350, but we expect a turnout of probably around 275. Our budget is $60,000 but it really depends on how many people we actually have and what we decide to serve, the decor, and everything else. My fiance likes to get the best, top notch in everything. For certain things it`s okay, but for others I think we can shop around and go under budget.
