And you`d want balloons at a wedding for what reason? Are you also celebrating a child`s birthday on that day?

I know many people who use balloons at their weddings and who plan on using balloons for their wedding. I am included, i am using balloons. Many people make balloon arches and stuff, very pretty. :o)

Fascinating! How wonderful, your wedding can be similiar to a circus. Will a clown also attend?

To be honest, I`m not a "balloon" person...but there are some metallic-toned balloons I`ve seen at weddings that look really nice. The cheap balloons do not look good. I have seen a lot of pictures of weddings that have balloon arches, at the reception of course (not the ceremony).

Balloons, i guess is a matter of choice!!
People like diff things for diff reasons. Some like balloons and some don`t. You don`t need to have the rude remarks Linda. If you don`t like balloons that is your choice. Like missy said, some balloons look beautiful, especially the metallic ones. And i guess i should have specified, yes only at the reception not the ceremony. Plus having balloons, it will give the kids something to do. :o) :o)

Oh my, I wasn`t at all being sarcastic or rude. I am truly fascinated. I live in South Africa and do not understand the American Culture weddings. I came onto this sight as I am marrying an American man and want to have an American-type wedding. I want to be sure I do things correctly when I come to the states to marry.

So Linda you were really serious when you asked about the clown?

Yes I was -- I know many American brides who have had some unique people at their weddings. One lady had a harpist, a jazz ensamble, and one of my friends had a caricture artist for her wedding -- I know another bride who had a fire-eater at her reception. Oh so unique.

Well i apologize Linda i seriously thought you were being rude and i apologize. Many people use tulle and ribbons, garlands, balloons or balloon arches. Many different centerpieces. Many use chair covers. I hope this helps you a little. Again im sorry and Congrats to you!! :o)

No need to apologize, it`s often hard to determine the `tone` of each post. After reading some of the hideous things that are posted from one person to another on this site it`s easy for me to see why someone could think I was being rude.
On a positive note, I`m getting many good ideas for my American wedding!

This Linda lady must have some serious issues as I have not read one positive thing from her, Maybe she needs to find somewhere else to post. I believe The Knot has the bitching post, try there.

I also apologize Linda. I didn`t realize you were from another culture. I applaud you for trying to understand our culture so you can add it to your wedding. I bet your sonn to be husband is very proud of you as well.

Brandy, can you possibly fathom how many Lindas there are that post on here? There must be at least 10 -- this one is from a different country but there is also a rude one too -- and one who gives good advice -- and one who can`t spell -- and one who rambles a lot.
