What Colour Veil?
Hi everyone,
I have just ordered my gown, it is a maggie sottero. Colour light gold/gold. Here is my dilema: My wedding is Oct/2004, dress may not arrive until late July or August as I had to order extra length. In the interim I am shopping for a veil and tiara ( I was advised special order veils can also take 12 weeks). It seems an "ivory" veil is too light for this gown. I have seen references to a champagne colour but I am not sure if this is the one I should try. Most salons store samples seem to be white diamond white or ivory.

Take a look on eBay....all different styles and colors. I ordered my daughters through a person who does veils and we are pleased...it is gorgeous and less than 1/2 price of the bridal salons.

David`s Bridal sells a darker ivory veil that is trimmed in the color "rum pink". I actually tried it on at their store a few months ago. It would go well with a dark ivory gown or champagne colored gown. The rum pink color on the veil is only the lining, so it would match with either a rum pink gown, or a dark ivory/champagne gown.

I too just bought a maggie sottero ("rowena") antique cream and gold and the wedding date is Oct 04. It was suggested to me to get a dark ivory veil which some specialty shops will make (i`m from canada so I don`t have any US company links) . The other suggestion was to go with an ivory veil with ribbon trimming which matches the dress. Many dress shops should be able to contract a custom order out to their respective wholesalers.
