NO Depo!!!!

Hello..... I am a 23 yr old mother of 1, and I will never get the depo shot EVER again. Here`s why:

I was 20 yrs old taking the birthcontrol pill and became pregnant with my baby so when I had my beautiful daughter back in May of 2002 I decided to get on the depo shot. That was my worst mistake ever. They say that you should bleed up to 6 wks after your baby is born and for the depo to go threw....Ha, I ended up with the most worst side effect ( I wouldn`t even wish on my worst enemy!). I lost weight tremendously and bleed the WHOLE time. I stopped taking the depo shot in July of 2003 and to this day i still bleed continuoisly... Instead of having a period 1wk out of the month I bleed 3wks and stop for 1 wk. The doctors say that I have to wait a whole year for the depo shot to be out of my system. Threw out all of this hassle I have had mild to moderate moodswings. Hopefully this will stop soon. I was just wanting people to hear my horror story so that they can really think if the depo shot is right for them..... If I would have seen all the horror stories I NEVER EVER would have got on it......
