Can Anyone Help Me Find?
My fiance and I have 2 children together, our daughter will be 10 at the time we get married. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a father/daughter dance song for them? We both like country, and I would like to use a country song, and I am sure there are lots of good ones out there to use, but nothing seems to come to mind as a good song for that, so I was wondering if anyone could help! What about Paul Simon`s "Father and Daughter"? It`s from the Rugrat`s Soundtrack, I think - sweet song.

I am kind of in the same boat except we have two boys together, our oldest will also be 10 when we get married. I know we can do the mother/son dance but should we do it when the groom dances with his mother or seperately. I like Martina McBrides new song.. In my daughters eyes or I forget who sings it, mind went blank, Daddy`s Hands.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I LOVE the father and daughter song by paul simon, I had never heard that before! I think I am going to go with that one.
And as for the Daddy`s Hands song, that is Holly Dunn, that is the one I am using for my dance with my father.

What about the old country song "Islands in the Stream" which is sung by Kenny Rogers and a female vocalist (Dolly Parton?). Very good upbeat tune, and danceable.

Oh yeah Islands in the Stream is the perfect song for a father and daughter. With lyrics like "making love with each other" and "from one lover to another" your family will be the talk of the town! haha! Do you all bother to look at the lyrics when you choose songs or do you just go by the titles?
