BEWARE Of David`s Bridal

Sorry to hear such sad stories but I must say that I got my gown from David`s and I love it. I did not let them do any alterations and I special ordered my gown and it took less than 12wks to come in. I do think that the staff is a bit on the rude side and not always very helpful. They would give me a dress to try on and I was on my own, noone came back to help or ask if I needed anything. I would not recommend David`s Bridal to loved ones. My only problem now is fitting in to the gown now that I will be almost 5 months pregnant on my wonderful day......GOOD LUCK ALL!!!!

I think you should wear whatever color you want. Congratulations on your soon-to-be marriage and parenthood!

I was just at David`s Bridal on Tuesday, and I had a WONDERFUL experience. They were very helpful and attentive. I have to also add...They are the ONLY place that allowed me to take pictures of EVERY DRESS I tried on. Most won`t let you take any until you put a deposit down and order your dress.

I`m glad you found a dress you love, even without great customer service. We had an outstanding David`s Bridal experience and my cousin found a beautiful dress. It is not the designer of the gowns, it is the training of the sales reps, whether that`s David`s or another designer. Since you are probably the one paying for your gown, it is your choice what color it is and no one else`s business. Congratulations.

I have to say that at first I wasn`t going to go to Davids Bridal. I wanted to support local bridal shops and not a chain. Well we stopped in because my bridesmaids wanted to look there for their dresses. I ended up trying on a few styles and found "The Dress" there. The absolute last wedding gown I tried on after hours and hours of searching. At first it was hard getting waited on, but once they had a consultant to help me out they were very helpful. I work in retail management and I have higher expectations on customer service and I thought they did a good job. Now I am sure that is not everyone experience, but just remember that it always depends on who you get. If you go there and don`t like your service take your business elsewhere, but don`t avoid a place because of what others have said. You never know "The Dress" for you may be there and you might get great service.

I completely agree, Jayme. David`s bridal is like any other retail chain out there...there are good ones and there are bad ones. The bridal consultants may not even be fully trained in how to give proper service to people. I used to work in retail, and their main focus was knowing a lot about their clothes, what colors they come in, what they`re made of, etc. And not so much as to making sure the customer feels welcomed and has a great experience. I don`t think that in the training and hiring process that some retailers focus enough on customer satisfaction. You`ll find good sales rep`s and bad sales rep`s everywhere you go. I don`t think it is appropriate to bash the entire clothing line`s service on one bad store experience that you have, since every store may be different. If you wanna say something negative about the particular store you went to in your area, that is your opinion. But I don`t think it`d be right to bash the service of all the david`s bridals in the entire nation unless you`ve been to every single one of them. There are obviously many people that have a problem with david`s on this message board, but there are also those who enjoyed their experiences with them.
Good luck to everyone on their gown searches, and may you all be blessed with great service!! :)
