Maid Of Honor Poem
I want to ask my future sister-in-law to be my maid of honor. I adore my friends each the same and could not choose one over the others (and it would break the other`s hearts) and I do not have a sister of my own. I realized if I had a sister she would be my MoH and if my fiance had a brother he would be his BM...but he has a sister. I think it would be really special to her and an awesome way to start our relationship as sisters to have her next to me. Now comes the tricky part. I want to ask her in a poem. She lives away at school and has no idea I`m even thinking of her, so a random card with the poem/request would make her day. Anyone have any suggestions?? Every poem I`ve found so far mentions knowing the person all their lives but I`ve only known her for a few years!

Also, if anyone knows of any awesome winter wedding locations in the NY suburbs area please let me know! Especially if it looks like a rustic ski lodge!

Hope this helps-You could add the line"Please Be my maid of honor."at the bottom.
You welcomed me with open arms
When I was strange and new.
You treat me like a sister would
And now it`s coming true.
When winter comes, 2004,
I`ll be a blushing bride
And I would be quite honored
If you`d be by my side.

You welcomed me with open arms
When I was strange and new.
A smile so warm and so sincere,
Caring, trusting and true.
A friendship would blossom
With each passing day.
Growing stronger and brighter
In many a way.
Engaged am I now
To be married at last.
And for you, Kris, I have
A special question to ask.
When spring 2004 is here
And I will be a blushing bride.
Would you do me the great honor
As maid on my side?
Here is a longer version of that! I used it to ask my FH sister to be one of my bridesmaid! I hope this helps!

Sorry, hit post before I was done! If you want to use the longer version, just substitute the other 1st paragraph... It works out nicely!
(You welcomed me with open arms
When i was strange and new.
You treat me like a sister would
And now it`s coming true.)
