I Will Never Buy A Dress At David`s Bridal
I was shopping at a David`s Bridal on 10/25/03 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The wedding consultant (Jennifer) assigned to help me select and try on a wedding dress was rude and completely unprofessional. She insulted me and said that "dresses in plus sizes are hard to find." In additon, I was trying on a dress that was my size in wedding dresses, but she meagerly attempted to help me and said that "this dress is not going to fit you." The area outside of the fitting rooms was a disaster and I almost tripped on a tiera. When I tried to go over to a debris-free area with three way mirrors to get a full view of my dress, she told me that there wasn`t any room over there to look at dresses. I was completely insulted and unsatisfied by my visit to this store!

I noticed a lot of neagtive feedback about the salespeople at David`s Bridal and I had a slight case of deja vu. My sister`s story isn`t as horrible as the other brides(I feel for you)but it left a bad taste in my mouth. My sister got married last year and I was her maid of honor so we looked high and low for a wedding dress. Our first stop was at DB in Northridge, CA, where we had an appointment. We browsed around for a while and they had some really pretty dresses. When our salesperson was ready for us. She asked which one of us was the bride and when my sister said she was, the salesperson looked at her in shock and thought she was kidding! My sister was mortified! I hope it wasn`t because my sister was overweight at the time. Overweight women get married too, you know! She kept talking to me the entire time even though my sister was the one wearing the big ring and carrying her corset and shoes. After we corrected her AGAIN, her attitude changed and she pawned us off to the girl who had only been working there for a week. Nonetheless SHE was great! Very young and very helpful. We didn`t get the bridesmaid dresses or the wedding dress there but we had a ball trying on all the dresses. I know it`s never fun to have people act snotty to you but make the most of the situation. My sister tried on so many dresses, it gave her the idea of which dresses look good on her and what she likes. After she got tired putting on all those dresses,we got so silly. She had ME(which is cool cause I`m engaged now) try on wedding dresses for her and now I know what style dress I like when I get married. We found her perfect dress at DB then went to a great wedding boutique and bought it there for much cheaper! I`m not getting married until 2006 but I`ll be browsing around and I`m sure I`ll be stopping by DB. I`m hoping for the best :)
